Most card games top out at four players, which is fine until the whole family shows up. These ten are the exceptions: real card games that work at six, eight, or even a dozen players and still end before anyone gets bored. No Uno, no Cards Against Humanity. Just a regular deck and a big room.
President
Up to eight and still coherent. The hierarchy mechanic (President, VP, Scum) creates a social drama as engaging as the game itself.
Pig (Card Game)
Another 3-to-13 party classic, with a nose-touching tell instead of a spoon. Quieter than Spoons but just as chaotic.
Crazy Eights
Six or more players turns this into a marathon. Wild cards and color changes mean every turn matters.
Chase the Ace
A passing and elimination game for three to ten. Whoever holds the lowest card loses a life. Short, cruel, very replayable.
Commerce
An 18th-century trading game that still works at ten people. Improve your three-card hand by swapping with the center pile.
